Connect Facebook and Instagram

Connect your Meta ad account once and Facebook and Instagram campaigns come together. Meta connects today by adding AdsEye as a partner in Business Settings. One-click sign-in is built and switches on when Meta’s App Review lands.

Before you start

  • Admin access to your Meta Business portfolio.
  • Your ad account ID, from the account menu in Ads Manager.
  • Your Page and your pixel, so stages can go back and ad previews can render.
  1. Choose Meta on Connect

In Setup, open Connect your ad accounts and find the Meta tile. Type the ad account ID and press Request access.

  2. Add AdsEye as a partner

In Meta Business Settings, open Partners, choose Add, then Give a partner access to your assets. Enter AdsEye’s Business ID, which is shown on the tile.

  3. Share three assets

Share the ad account, the Page the ads run from and the pixel. The pixel is what lets Max send your CRM’s stages back through the Conversions API, and the Page is what the ad previews and any new ad use.

  4. Press Check now

Max confirms access through Meta’s own API and the tile turns to connected. The first numbers arrive on the next hourly check.

  5. Reconcile, then set the goal

Compare spend and results with Ads Manager for the same date range and attribution setting, and avoid adding placement totals to account totals. Then give Facebook and Instagram their goal, target and monthly budget on Goals.

Common issues

Check now says not shared yet?

The partner request has not been accepted, or the ad account was not shared with it. Check Partners in Business Settings, then press Check now again.

Sales are counted twice?

Google and Meta can each claim the same sale. Use your CRM for unique customers; the Customers page shows what was sent where.

Where are lead forms?

Enquiries from Facebook and Instagram lead forms are built and waiting on Meta’s review of AdsEye. Until then they reach Max through your CRM or the lead inbox.
