Count enquiries, calls and sales

Every enquiry in one place, tied to the ad that brought it, and sent back to the platform when it becomes a customer. For businesses with a CRM, and for those without one.

Before you start

  • Access to your website’s HTML, or to the form tool you use.
  • The stages you will use: new, contacted, qualified, booked, won and lost.
  1. Put the form and the script on your site

Leads gives you a form to paste in: name, email, phone, message and a consent box saying your business may use their details to measure its adverts. Add the small script to every page. It remembers which ad brought a visitor, for 90 days, and adds that to the form, so Max knows which ad sent the enquiry.

  2. Or send from the tool you already have

Any form tool that can send a webhook can post JSON to the same address. A honeypot field and rate limits keep the noise out.

  3. Work the inbox

Enquiries arrive with who, where from, which ad, and the message. Mark each one as it moves: contacted, qualified, booked, won or lost, with a value and a note. Add a call, an email or a walk-in by hand. Export the lot as a CSV whenever you like.

  4. Let the stages go back

Qualified, booked and won go back to the platform that sent the enquiry, but only when an ad did send it and the person ticked the consent box. Everyone else still lands in Leads and is counted in your report.

  5. Count calls

Google’s free forwarding numbers report every call against the campaign that earned it: switch call reporting on in Google Ads and Max reads it. A tracked number from a provider works on every platform and counts a call of a set length as a result. Calls counted is switched on account by account.

  6. Or use your CRM

With GoHighLevel connected, the stages come from your pipeline and go back every hour. The Customers page shows each stage, where it goes on each platform, and what was sent this morning.

Common issues

Who sees contact details?

Contact details in the inbox are encrypted. What goes to a platform is a hash, which cannot be turned back, or the click ID alone.

How long are leads kept?

Thirteen months, then deleted automatically. Any one lead can be erased on request, and everything can be exported first.

Do platform lead forms come in?

Enquiries from Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok lead forms are built and wait on each platform’s app review. The Lead forms page says which are switched on.
