Connect Google Ads

Bring Google Search, Local Services Ads, YouTube, and Performance Max and Display into your brand. Google Ads connects today by giving AdsEye manager access from your own account. One-click sign-in is built and switches on when Google completes its review of AdsEye.

Before you start

  • The Google login that administers the account.
  • Your ten-digit Google Ads customer ID, shown at the top right of Google Ads.
  • Permission to accept a manager link request.
  1. Open Connect and choose Google Ads

In Setup, open Connect your ad accounts and find the Google Ads tile. Type the customer ID as it appears in Google Ads, with or without the dashes, and press Request access. Nothing in AdsEye asks for a password or a developer token, and nothing should be pasted in.

  2. Accept the manager link

In Google Ads, open Admin, then Access and security, then Managers. Accept the request from AdsEye’s manager account; its ID is shown on the tile. We send the request within a working day.

  3. Let Max connect

Once the link is accepted, Max connects by himself and the tile turns to connected. Reading starts on the next hourly check. A full 30-day read with ads and search terms follows overnight, before the first morning review.

  4. Check the first numbers

Compare spend and results for the same date range against Google Ads. Google backfills conversions for days afterwards, so the last few days keep moving, and the report says how many days had numbers.

  5. Give each Google channel a job

On Goals, Search, Local Services Ads, YouTube, and Performance Max and Display each get their own goal, target and monthly budget. Your CRM’s stages go back to Google as conversion actions, and calls Google reports against a campaign count as results once call reporting is on in your account.

Common issues

Nothing happens after I accept?

Max notices the account on the next hourly check. If the tile still says access requested a few hours later, press Check now, then ask the AdsEye team.

I run a manager account myself?

Connect the client’s own account, not your manager account, so one brand reads one business.

The numbers differ from Google Ads?

Check the date range and which conversion actions are being compared. Max reads Google’s own figures and does not recount them.

When does the sign-in button appear?

Google is reviewing AdsEye’s app access. Until it clears, the manager link is the route. When it does, the tile shows One sign-in and a Connect button, and you choose the account after signing in.
