Privacy notice

This says what AdsEye does with personal data. It is written for the businesses who use Max, and for the people whose details pass through him.

If you use Max

We hold your name, email address, the business you run, what you tell Max about it, and the record of what you approved. We hold it to run the product and to bill you, and we keep it while your account is open. Sign-in works by a link sent to your email address; there is no password to lose.

If you are one of our customers' customers

When a business uses Max, the business decides what happens to your details and we act on its instructions: in the law's words, it is the controller and we are its processor. Ask that business to see, correct or delete what it holds, and we will help it do so within a month.

What passes through Max is the enquiry you sent: your name, your email address or phone number, your message, and the advert that brought you. Contact details in the inbox are encrypted. When an enquiry goes back to an ad platform so it can measure its own adverts, your email address and phone number are hashed first, which means they leave here unreadable and cannot be turned back.

How long

Leads and the results sent to the platforms are kept for 13 months, then deleted automatically. Copies of incoming webhooks are kept 30 days, notifications 90 days. When a business closes its account, everything is erased within 30 days, and it can take a copy of all of it first.

Who else sees it

Cloudflare hosts the product in the United Kingdom and Europe. Anthropic runs the reviews that read account data, never the contact details in the inbox. Stripe takes payments. Resend sends email. The ad platforms receive hashed identifiers and the value of a sale. Each is under a contract that binds them to the same duties.

Your rights, and complaints

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. If you think we have it wrong, tell us first; you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

Max sets one cookie to keep you signed in, and nothing for advertising or analytics. On a customer's own website, the small script Max offers remembers which advert brought a visitor, for 90 days, so the business can measure its adverts; that business decides whether to use it and what to say about it.
